Asking myself over three plus years now if much tangible good came out of all my health issues and the one minuscule thing would be the small convenience of a handicapped placard. Seattle now has A TON of people with them and perhaps someday they’ll outnumber ones that don’t.  Like TSA Pre-checks now nearly outnumbering regular lines. Always having to try to remember to bring my placards, I figured it was time to ask my doctor to sign off on me getting permanent plates for the car. She had to type up a letter reading that I had a permanent neurological disability. Well, it will be nice and convenient and know it was my choice, but when they showed up in the mail today, the permanence struck a chord.
